Fertilizer for leeks, onions, garlic etc

Im after a slow release organice nitrogen feed to put into the soil before plantin my leeks, anyone got any recomendations?
What do you guys feed your onions, leeks and garlic before anf when they are in the ground.

You could use Blood, Fish and Bone fertiliser. I've used it before for leeks and onions. But I live in France so I'm not familiar with English brand names. I use a French one, called Fertiligene which is organic. So I would look on the packets in the garden centre and see what there is - if you don't want to use BF&B.
