Chicken manure pellets

When clearing out behind the shed this week I discovered a tub of dried chicken manure pellets which must have been there for several years! Will they still be OK to use on the garden or will they have deteriorated in some way?

Use them and class them as well rotted manure

  • Thanks everyone. As I have 4 compost bins which could do with a bit of oomph I will add the pellets to them. They will end up in the garden one way or another! Not sure how much to put in though......

good post, we found some pellets in the school garden yesterday, no idea how old they are but at least they are dry so have been recommended they are good to use. imageimageimage Yeah, free fertiliser.

    Agree with Dove.

Chicken manure is different to a chemical fertiliser, and can be spread now.
