My tubers have only just started to sprout in the past week. Mine are in a little plastic greenhouse and it amuses my other half no end when I go out to tuck the dahlia's up with fleece for the night
Other half doesn't care about the plants, I'm lucky if he even notices the blooms I pick, he's far more worried about the dirt and bugs I bring into the house
Can anyone advise how many dahlias (Bishop of Llandaff peony is the variety I'm using) I can plant in a pot and what size pot is ideal please? I'm planting for the first time so don't want to get it wring. Is bulb fibre OK to use? Thanks!
Thanks Verdun - yes they're tubers. Do I need to keep re potting them or could I just grow all three that come in the packet in a larger pot in one go? Does it make any difference?
Thanks Verdun, that's really helpful. I don't have a greenhouse sadly (London life ) but I'll try it out in my utility room. Some of the corns seem to have become separated from the main tuber. Do I just lie these flat on the compost (I'm not sure which end is the top on some of them). Thanks for all your good advice!

Thank you! Will move them with fleece at the ready just in case!
