Compost fork
I'm looking for a lightweight fork for turning my compost heap from time to time. I have seen some that are specifically for compost or manure and wondered if anyone has any particular recommendations (or warnings)

Hi, I've always used a long handled muck fork, by Bulldog......will last for years.

Btw, ash handles are best.
You can also get a sort of corkscrew device which you wind down into the heap and pull up. Supposedly easier than turning the heap.
I bought one of these, http://www.crocus.co.uk/product/_/two-handed-compost-stirrer-compost-aerator/classid.2000009211/?gclid=CMiKleCyh8wCFZUW0wodcGUN2Q
To be honest I find it easier to just get a fork and turn it by digging it all out and then putting it back. Chucking in some compost accelerator as I go

Thanks people. I have one of the corkscrew ones which is perfect for the dalek bins and really easy to use but it doesn't work so well for a three sided open heap unless you manage to stand on top of the heap and even then it's not so good! I like the look of those Bulldog ones for forking and turning the big heap and they look quite light which is an important factor for me.
David, what are the advantages of ash handles over the metal ones?
