It may be that it's a bit young - when it does get going, never pull more than two thirds of the stalks at any one time, don't pull any after the beginning of June for T. Early and then feed with Fish Blood and Bone, mulch well with well rotted farmyard manure and make sure the plant does not dry out in the summer/autumn. Don't allow it to flower. In the autumn allow the leaves to die down and decompose on the plant before removing.
Put the forcing pot over the plant early in the New Year (I try to do it on New Year's Day when I do my annual New Year Flower Count).
Fingers crossed you'll be inundated with rhubarb this time next year

Mine pushes the lid off itself.
I've picked loads already this year. I moved the forcer the other day to take this picture
Not sure why yours isn't doing the same - which variety is it?

Mine is Timperley Early - I chose it because it is an early variety and forces well.

Already had two lots of rhubarb from my plant and it isn't forced.
Thanks for the replies. It's temp early. It's only been in a couple of years and my first time of forcing. Could that be the problem do you think?
