hi, I am trying to grow teddybear sunflowers from seed. As it is a bush type sunflower do i need to prick out the seedlings, and if so when
many thanks for any help

I don't know this variety but you'll need to prick them out or the individual plants won't have room to develop.

sorry not up in technical terms. i meant for individual plants, will they grow and bush out without any removal of new leaves
I would plant seed in a pot on its own as seedlings are on the big side , I put mine in a biodegradable pot .
Hi trevor edgar, I have grown my teddybear sunflowers indoors on a warm windowsill in individual compartments. They are sprouting up quite well, I will not be removing any new leaves, I will then pot them up into individual pots and keep them out of harm from any frost. It is the first time I have grown them from seed, so I do wish you luck with yours.
