I agree, the garden 'supermarket' mentality is sad really. Reminds me of shopping in a once vibrant and diverse local highstreet that is now a replica of every other highstreet in the UK. I have noticed that as well as yellow there seems to be a wealth of blue around. My grape hyacinths have never flowered so well in 10 years and the majestic flag irises have their big blue heads above everything else in the garden at the moment. Lovely!
