Portulaca - first timer

I've decided to go for Portulaca this year and I'm going to plant some in my window boxes and hanging baskets. Do I pinch them out to induce bushiness or are they naturally bushy? I have received some lovely little plugs which I've potted on so bring on the warmer weather please!
