Which way up to plant my paeony

When you plant it, make sure the roots are pointing down evenly. The top growth will initially look really wonky, because of the way it has been stored, but it'll straighten up when it's planted and gets some light.
Don't be tempted to plant it with the top growth pointing up.

Reading what Philippa's just said, I've realised I planted my peony sideways!
In my defense it didn't have any shoots and the instructions were incredibly confusing... the shoots have come up very close to the side of the pot, so I was planning to repot it now anyway, now I'll know which way up to put it
