Seaweed ...

Hi - Can I use liquid seaweed fertiliser on heathers after flowering and if so, should it be sprayed on the plant itself or watered in?

Thanks in advance.

  • Okay - thanks Verdun - what about the spring and summer ones then when they've finished - are they lime tolerant too?

  • I've had some winter ones which are just starting to go over and I 've just bought a couple of what are labelled spring flowering heathers. They are flowering now as opposed to the ones labelled summer flowering which are still to come into bud. Confused.com doesn't begin describe it image I thought there were only summer and winter ones .......

As you may be able to tell heathers (and clematis) are new to me image

  • Okay - just been out and had a look at the labels - Erica erigena - flowers late spring -so I'm presuming these are early summer. I suppose no-one ever said life was easy image They're going into movable pots so soil isn't a problem image Thank you for your help Verdun image
