Non flowering Honeysuckle

Hi Folks

I have a 10ft Evergreen Honeysuckle against a south facing wall  It is about 5/6 years old. It has an abundance of healthy green foliage, but never flowers! Please, can somebody advise me, how I can remedy the problem. I have cut it right back, fertilised it, topped with mulch and planted another Honeysuckle near it hoping for pollination. Nothing has worked.

Against a south-facing wall?  My guess is that it's too dry.  My honeysuckles have been flowering much better since I installed a soaker hose along the bottom of the fence where they're planted, and they're on the north-facing side and are in shade for a lot of the time.

Thank you so much Verdun. I Shall give it more water, and hopefully we may see some flowers.

Dovefromabove, Thank you for the advice. Think I may invest in a soaker hose too.

Got nothing to loose. keep you posted.image

I don't do a routine pruning - only cut back the long reaching tendrils when there's no where for them to go.

At this time of year a good dose of Fish, Blood and Bone will help, and has been said plenty of water in the summer.
