    The strawberries look like they are being munched by slugs.  Straw won't protect them against slugs, it is used to prevent the fruit from touching the ground which causes the berries to rot.  Sprinkle a few slug pellets under the straw so the birds can't get to them or, if you don't want to use pellets, water Nemaslug into the area:

    I don't hve room for citrus plants to put them inside.or I will hve to put them in my shade .n about the strawberry plant I'm gonna get the think wat u send me protect them from slugs help that will help .

    Hi just wondering wat else can I use to protect my plants from slugs.i remember I used slugs pallets for my plants last year but didn't really work.what is the best thng to use.i got staw as someone told me to put around plants coz slugs don't like them. But of course that's not helping in.my case.really want some thng really effective protection from slugs if there is any ???
