Just a tip for anyone using a kindle (like me) if you turn it on it's side you can see the full page header with the search bar and latest posts etc. without having to use the drop down menu.
Don't know if it works on other mobile devices but give it a try.
Yes, as ice has said, there is currently no search function on the mobile version of new site, but it's on our list of fixes. I can't advise when this will happen, but I will keep you updated.
In the mean time, you can head to the 'Plants' or '2 for 1 gardens' tabs, which haven't been updated to the new design yet.
You could also type www.gardenersworld.com/search into your address bar (you could add this as a bookmark to get there faster next time).
As Kitty 2 has spotted, on some devices, you could turn your screen sideways and the search bar will appear (great tip!). This hasn't worked on my iPhone, but depending on your screen size it could work for you.
Posts
Its on there list but not happening soon
they gave me a link to old webpage which has search box at top
The search function appears when I use the laptop but not on kindle or phone.
Response I got :
Thank you for getting in touch about the search button.
Unfortunately, there is currently no search facility on the mobile version of the site. This is on our technical's list of fixes for the website.
In the mean time, the only way to access site search is to go to pages still using the old design, such as the Plant Finder:
http://www.gardenersworld.com/plants/
Links to latest posts, followed threads and new threads can be found via the Menu button in the top left corner, under Forum.
If there is anything else you'd like some help with do let me know.
Best wishes,
Nora

Thanks kitty. Why didn't I think of that!!
I suppose this explains why newbies are asking the same question over and over. They can't access the search function.
