Buddleia issues

Hello, I have 2 buddleia bushes. The last 2 years the growth tips have been affected by a small insect found inside. Is there any remedy question I have now used a fungal and insecticide combination and then cut back any new growth. Thanks jy

you'd have to go pretty hard to kill a buddleia. I'd give it a feed and I'm sure it'll cope well as it grows.

Seems to get in to the growth buds and deforms the leaves and flowers. I put down a slow release higher potash fertiliser. I have heard some of these bugs are chemical resistant. I've just chopped it hard and removed all greenery and binned the trimmings. Hopefully the bugs are in the green bits.

I've just been reading about the Buddleja bud worm which is a problem in California - no idea if it's over here ........ yet image
