Help indentify a fragrant shrub/bush SOUTH OF FRANCE

    ..you shouldn't have much trouble in finding one... mine is just coming into flower right now, about a month early... these plants are not reliably hardy when young, if you live up country...I garden in Eastern England... and mature plants can be cut back in a hard winter.... mine is kept to 5 foot tall and wide, but would be much taller and wider if I allowed it.... recent winters have been kind enough....

    ...the flowers are sweetly scented, but unfortunately the season is rather brief....

    ...do give it a try... there is also a dwarf version I think, now on the market...
