I'm sorry you had a bad experiance James. I have always been lucky.
Just last week I ordered a Fuchsia cutting in 7cm pot. I went away and the post office tried to deliver it on the Thursday.I collected it on Monday. It was packaged in cardboard box. A stick held it in position so it didn't get crushed.Wet tissue paper had been securly taped over the soil, which both kept the compost in the pot and stopped it drying out. I was expecting it to be dead when I got it but it was just fine.
