Found this mysterious plant growing all over the front lawn must be 100+ of these little sprouting things. Any idea what this is? Thanks

     Sorry the plant is very young, but just curious to what it could be. We do have bird feeders with seed in the garden but not near where these are sprouting through. Any ideas?

    there are hundreds of these all over, but about 2 months ago the neighbour had cut down a large tree we believe some kind of maple? Could it be this?

    You can mow them off the lawn but they'll be in with the plants in the flower beds as well. and in your pots. and down the cracks between your paving. There would be a forest here if I didn't constantly remove ash, field maple, sycamore, elder, but surprisingly few hawthorns which I would like a few more of.
