I've just emptied out a pot and found vine weevil grubs. I've dispatched them but is it ok to put that soil on the border or would I have to,drench with nematodes?
Spread the compost out on a tarpaulin/sheet of plastic or similar and leave it for a couple of days - the birds will help themselves to any remaining grubs etc - you can then put the compost on the garden.

The birds will finish off any grubs that have escaped so it should be okay to put the soil on the garden.

Saved me the bother of starting a new thread.
I've never used any of those drench liquids to deal with vine weevil. Has anyone any recommendations of types and suppliers.
Strawberries and primulas in tunnel both have them now.
The nematodes worked really well on our Shady Bank

Yes, nematodes in your polytunnel, Hostafan. As Verdun says, Provado Vine Weevil Killer 2 is not for use on edibles (but great for ornamentals.)
thanks guys, Is there anything to kill the little bleeders in the strawberry beds?
Nematodes will do the job there too
