Plant ID please!

Hi - does anyone recognize these plants? The first photo is of a cabbage-like palm, the second two of an evergreen shrub.

The top one is definitely an echium. Lucky you!

I grow those in Greece but too cold high up in s east.

I have lost my two big ones like that, they survived all winter until the frost a month or so ago, still have one big one left, and all last year's small plants to plant out. Several seeded in the garden.

nime shot up an enormous pinky lilac flower spike last year, you couldn't imagine how many bees were on it. Hope you can keep it MJD, how ever do you get it to stand up by itself?

Thank you! The echium isn't mine I'm afraid! I think it's more-or-less grown without any particular attention, although we are on the south coast.
