damaged plant leaves

hello

Well for the past 30 minutes I have attempted to upload a picture of my plant. unfortunately it wont upload for u\k reasons. Tried on the ipad and laptop.

Without the picture this may be impossible but her goes.

I have a small shrub (approx 1.5 ft tall) which is sage green colour leaves with a silver / grey outer edge around each leaf. I have noticed today that all the leaves where they grey should be are now brown. It looks burnt but i am guessing its frost damage? Do I need to do anything to get it back to normal?

Many thanks

Could well be frost damage Steven but as you've guessed a pic will confirm it.

I've found the name...Pittosporum "Silver Queen". It's not any of the Diseases listed so I think frost for sure. Don't think lack of water because ground very moist and Free draining. .

That's great thanks..the soil level is neutral but where I live in sandy so dries out very quick..I put soil condition and Manure with it when I first dug it over. Planted then covered in mulch..looks great but when I replant now it feels wet? I am new to gardening. This may be normal as I am also used to sand which is always dry. Do conifers and pine trees etc like dry soil?

HI Steven - conifers and pine trees remove a lot of water from the soil, making it hard for other things to grow nearby.

As Verdun says, Pittosporums need good drainage. What is the soil like round the plant and do you have other planting nearby?

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
