replacing the pipe on the pump should be pretty easy, and , more importantly pretty cheap.

    Devon.
  • Absolutely, I just need to sort out where it is and how to do it....I guess I shall be behind the pond tomorrow x

  • That would be brilliant news but all I know is that there is a plastic box, like a storage box, filled with washing up sponges as a filter and there's a pipe coming out of the back of it !! LOL.  Am going to go and look at how it's all laying later one if I can, but right now, I'm awaiting the imminent arrival of my great grandson!!  His Mum is ready to push so anytime now image

Get one of your more able-bodied relatives to trace the line of the hose to the filter (storage box) and from there to where it feeds back into the pond or waterfall.  With the pump running the source of the problem might be pretty clear.  It doesn't take much more than a slow dribble of water leaking away to have a marked effect on the water level in the pond.

  • Thank you so much....am going to hike my way over there either later or tomorrow, as I am awaiting the imminent arrival of my great grandson! image

She's just gone for e section so any minute now image

  • That should have said C section LOLOL

Anyway, went and had a fiddle with the pipe and when I switched the pump back on, the water fall was more than before and the fountain is now working.....will check later and see if the level has gone down again x
