Neighbour dog urine. Complete shade close to house ideas plants climbers
Our set up is the following -mid terraced 10year old house with the back of the house shaded (quite wet in winter) with the closest 3 metres to the house never seeing sun throughout the year. -Raised decking from the back patio door 3/4 way across the width of the house. -Left hand side 1/4 left to plant / build something so just soil at present Problem-To the left the next door neighbour has patioed around 3 metres out with two large dogs who use it as a dog run past 7 years. The smell is bearable in the winter as we aren't out in garden as much. Now the smell of urine is getting quite obvious. They do pressure wash it but it still smells really bad. Dogs also use fence to wee up need advice on what to do, plant / build as it's just bare mud at the moment so could do anything but whatever is planted will never see sun and likes quite damp environments. Shaded 3x2metres with also two fence panels to cover Thanks inadvance.

It is a shame you have to put up with other peoples smelly dog's, we have 5 dogs next door and no obnoxious smells at all, they remove all dog mess daily and water with some sort of chemical, to stop smells, try googling to see what is around, mind they also lifted most of the grass and laid artificial turf, that may be the answer to the bare mud area, artificial looks like grass.
I believe there was a change in the law effective from today about owners having to micro chip their dogs. /this so so that owners who allow dogs to foul can be traced and served and proscicuted. Dog mess is now illegal and owners are responsible for the offense it causes.. You have not said if they own or rent as if they rent you can go to the local council Dog warden for advice, ib fact ask anyway what your positionis in law re the Nuisance.. Your case can be that because of the odour you are unable to use and enjoy your garden and its amenities.. The fluid the other person used may well be Jeyes Fluid... Goood luck. I just had my front garden fenced today because of neighbours dogs fouling in my front garden Cost me £450!!!! I hope y.iu get something sorted
Garry elliptica grows OK in shade, hydrangea pectSomething. Can't remember, too late for my brain , host as and ferns will like the damp.
Geraniums too! Think hydrangea pectolaris
