Beetroot plants

KeenOnGreenKeenOnGreen Posts: 1,831

I got some Beetroot seedlings growing last Autumn, but it was too late to plant out for cropping, so I put them in the greenhouse.  They're about 4 inches tall, and look very healthy.  If I plant them out in Spring will they still produce a crop, or is it better to just throw them and start afresh?

Do as Verdun says. If you plant them out they would probably bolt.

They're off to the compost heap as we speak!

I'd use the leaves in a salad or stir fry rather than throw them away but definitely sow fresh for this season.
