Value or not?

today I received my order from Crocus....salvia Embers Wish.  I expected a plug but what I received was teeny weenyness!image  Potted on and it will grow away but at almost £ 10 it is far from good value.  I rarely buy plug perennials but wanted this variety so........

in contrast, I have another salvia coming tomorrow in a 1 litre pot and free postage from Rectory Gardens for £ 6. 99.  The way I almost always buy online.

Embers Wish will make a decent plant by mid summer....it is a fast grower ....but I doubt I will purchase such a small plant again for such an inflated price. image

If it's like it's cousin S, Wendy's Wish, it'll grow and grow and grow - Wonky has one image

Wow, that's not like you Verdun, I would certainly return it, ridiculous price for a mini plug.

for £10 I'd expect  a very impressive plant. You can buy shrubs for less than £10 .

The plug was only 3.99 but the postage, way too high!!!

Verdun, Wonky bought Wendy's Wish for about £1.50 ish, as an 8" tall plant - from the reduced counter at The Range 'cos it had dried out a bit.  Now that's what I call a bargain image
