I think, sadly, that they did not have enough visitors to make it worthwhile keeping it staffed to be open- most of her sales are now via plant fairs.

The last time I saw her was at an open garden somewhere in that neck of the woods a long time ago.

Well I never, I live very near Medstead, I never knew about them. There is a nursery in Four Marks. And a big garden centre near Lasham, very good too. The Hilliers near Liss is good albeit pricey. I suspect small growers specialise so have limited range. There is a Hebe grower near Alresford. A very big garden centre is near Bagshot, just off the M3, quite cheap too, but not a small independent company. It is perhaps the best I have ever visited, and very busy.

Hi Leif - we are almost neighboursimage.  Forest Lodge (next to Birdworld) is also very good - definitely a GC, not a nursery, but independently owned and most of the staff know about plants (or know to call over someone who doesimage)

  • Morning all, thought I'd let you know I went to Spring Reach nursery as suggested by Dove, a few days ago.

Impressed, large range, picked up a couple of good rambling roses for ??10e. Friendly advice too. Good price for Surrey, these roses would be ??13-??15 in the mainstream nurseries locally.
