Hi all if I buy a plant which comes in a sat 3.5l tub and I want a planter/pot to put it in what size should I buy?

    Thank you Verdun/Rainbowfish - Its is a Magnolia "heaven sent" will it be ok in the existing pot until i find one i like....im not sure if Glazed/terracotta/ or barrel type would be best????

    Also what would the best compost be to change pots?  Do i just need compost and a little of those fertiliser beads?

    Regular watering is this daily (in scotland) or weekly

    Brian, I would start a new thread on carnations if I were you. It will get seen better as this ones about pots and potting on.image
