Hi all
Can anyone make any suggestions to improve my lawn? It doesn't help that it's not totally level at one side but at the edges it's in poor condition. Is there anything that will bring it back to life, please take a look at the photos. I think leaves have been sat on the edges through winter

Looking at the decaying matter it would appear, as you say, that leaves have been the main cause. If you can it's best to try and clear them regularly to allow light and air to the grass. Edges of lawns are often a problem especially near brickwork for example where there are footings and therefore a lack of subsoil.
If you give the area a good rake over and overseed you should get decent results in the coming weeks.
