Compost Bin
Hello
My first time on here so not sure if I'm the correct forum.
Just some general advice needed. Around a week ago I watched some YouTube videos regarding making liquid compost, which can apparently become soil in as little as 3 weeks.
I flowed the advice and liquidated in a blender much of my excess good and table waste, excluding meat and dairy products. I then deposited it under my decking in an unused recycling tub about 3 feet long. I placed in a handful of worms from my mum's garden and anticipated my compost.
However I've recently checked and the bin has become waterlogged, and my handful of worms appear drowned on the surface. It also smells very badly. Almost like alcohol.
My question is: Is there any way I can redeem this system and place in more worms, adding a lid or perhaps some holes in the side for waste water?
Is there anything I am missing?
Kindest regards and thanks for any advice
Phil
