Mini cloche (green house type)
I just got 2 mini cloches (green house made) these are a first for me- this may seem a bit of a daft question- do I just put them on the grass or do I lay something down first to go underneath?

Well what are you wanting them for begonia?
Hi Dave- I think for my tomato plants seedlings if they hopefully get big enough and also I have some plug plants on the way mostly perrenials and another few tomato plants. I know that some are put over seeds you sow directly where they are to grow to protect against pests - I have some that are to be sown this way but also plan to put some things in pots. But these cloches are to bring on seedlings in pots big enough to get going and to grow on in pots- I think ? I just got them today and still have to put them together but its too early yet.
I realise now that this was a really stupid question. I must be tired! Its a cloche- you put it down on your garden bed plant up or sow whatever seeds and throw some seedlings, pots whatever in there and close it. I feel like an idiot - can I omit this post somehow?
Don't worry about it begonia, no stupid questions here just friendly advice. Best of luck with the plants.
And even posts that don't quite say what you meant them to say, raise interesting questions. This thread may be read by a newbie who hadn't thought of getting a cloche and start them off exploring the possibilities

Thank you for the encouragment. I am autistic and sometimes just get too enthusiastic and analytical before I look at the practical side of things.
Not too great for a gardener since gardening is one of the most practical things to do!
Hi Begonia3
Did you watch the Autistic Gardener on Channel 4? Apparently they're making another series

I think I need to make a home made cloche
Ok someone wants to make a home made cloche. Maybe it is time that all the nonsense and b.s. got left behind and we get back to gardening.
Lets look at what chicken chaser wants to get done and get some ideas to help out.
