Go large or divide again....
i have a few hostas....some in pots some in the ground. Every year I divide some...every 2 years for sure. However, tempted this year with a couple of my potted hostas which are due for splitting to, instead, pot into even bigger containers. They are already pretty big but with good enriched fresh compost they should make imposing specimens.
So, divide and make 2 decent potted clumps or pot on into bigger? What do you think folks?

I would split them into two.
Which variety Verdun, how big are they now, how big are the pots?
I've had some in pots for 4 years.
Halcyon makes a fine large plant, I'd have a go there, but Patriot never gets huge, so maybe just have the one big specimen .
Liberty I don't have ( yet) it looks stunning.
When we moved here 4 years ago, I planted all the hostas I'd brought with us. Some in pots, most in ground. Those in the ground have been there ever since, with the odd exception.
I'm trying to move some to new areas of the garden to allow more variety but I'm not sure I'll get them all done before they really start growing.
See how things go with " the knee" in 2 weeks.
Divide them all several times and send me some.
I read Liberty is a sport of Sagae, one of my faves. I must track one ( at least ) down.
