Definitely honeysuckle (especially on an evening walk down a Devon lane), also jasmine, philadelphus, dianthus (particularly Mrs Simkins), lavender (nice dried indoors too) Trachelospermum jasminoides (outside our kitchen door is perfect for summer evenings), narcissi, hyacinths (although they can be a bit too much indoors!) viburnum, lilac and buddleia. Another favourite is the smell you get after a shower of rain after hot weather (rare, I know!).

Woods violets just as they warm up in the morning, daphne Carol Mackie on cool, slightly damp, spring evenings. Coming home late on summer nights, opening the gate and having the scent of all the good things pour out.

Cheerfulness narcissus and sweet peas. I don't have a very good sense of smell so lots of scented plants go unnoticed by me.

Strangely, many of the obvious ones are far too sickly for me. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Have we said sarracocca? Mines by the front door and it knocks my socks off. image

    agree with philaldelphus, pinks, lilac.

But the best for me was a special flower in Barbados, I'll try to remember what it was...

Philadelphus Belle Etoile - smells like bubblegum, I love it ! Korean lilac is very delicate too. Azalea's and sweet peas.  Wouldn't be without any of these.  Enjoy

Yep! Plumeria obtusa L. (Apocynaceae) ....whatever that means image

  • Its got to be Phlox for me, reminds me when my mum used to do flower arranging when I was little.

Not a plant but the smell of someone else's (or my wifes)  tea cooking when I'm hungry and out in the garden is unbeatable
