hi, new to site so not sure if I've posted on correct forum!!
I'm in process of re-turfing rear garden which faces North East and wondered if anyone can recommend a good turf supplier in the Cardiff area, or has comments on turf supplied by the national retailers? I also wish to re-seed a front garden that has failed over winter which was seeded from new last spring,it was fine over summer, but has now got a large part that is almost bare. I would like to re-seed and as it gets shaded by trees and wondered if a shade tolerant seed would be best way forward and if anyone can recommend a good supplier/mixture?

Can't help you with the turf Tom, but you'll get seed suitable for shade at any garden centre.
If the garden's very shady though, grass will tend to struggle. The trees add a bit more of a problem as they take a lot of moisture and nutrients from the soil - all things that grass needs to look at it's best. If you really want to have grass there, you may find it takes quite a bit of effort to keep it looking good.
