Hi,
Could anyone suggest something to grow up the wall of my house. My house is rendered and I really don't want anything that eats into the walls.

Hydrangea petiolaris doesn't eat into render or anything it just clings to a wall. A good climber for your situation.

I'm not sure anything " eats into the walls" Some plants with aerial roots will take advantage of cracks and damage already there, but won't actually cause the initial damage.
Ivy gets a bad press for this , but read this to put your mind at rest.
