I think this is within the last couple of days Dove.
They are ahead, they were well above ground on NYD. (As usual) I can't remember when they flower but likely to be May?. Doesn't look good for any sort of flowering this year.
I think Bob is likely to be right re powdery mildew. I'm wondering about chopping them back but would anything regrow this year and if it didn't would the plant survive?
I think the red deadnettle sets off the touches of red in the stems and veins of the leaves just perfectly.
Very sensible to grow cleavers too Nut - very useful as a medicinal herb, slightly laxative and diuretic and fantastic in a vegetable soup said to have slimming properties (not that either of you have need of such a soup)
My Molly is looking healthy but no sign of buds last time I checked (I'll have another look tomorrow). I wonder if it gets too much shade in the west facing bed? It might be a candidate to be transplanted into the new sunny bed we're making in the back garden

That's a good size, nut. I have the cleavers around them too.
and the red deadnettle fidget? I should have weeded it first. I don't want people thinking I have a weedy garden

I've got lots of red deadnettle and the bees love it. I'm told the hairy footed bee likes cowslips
