here is my sad little garden, the sun goes up from the left and actoss the top. I haven't had a summer here yet so don't know if it will rech the bottom I suspect not because of the house shadow.

  • Pictures as requested by Dovefromabove any advice appreciated image

  • Does anyone know where I can buy the lovely red dahlia that Monty Don grows Rothesay Reveller. Garden websites don't seem to have heard of it.

Lovegardens - whereabouts in the garden do you want the increased privacy?

  • top left by the garage and down the lefthand side.

Going to be difficult I know as I said I want everything in containers (incase I move again image)........... but I may have to change that. The pots scattered around were from my old garden just on the patio and got badly neglected being stored while i was waiting to  move into this house.

How about some long planters with bamboo in them, shouldn't cut out much light and will give you some privacy.

  • Tigs33 bamboo was my first choice but I've ruled it out as most advice on here was DON'T plant bamboo because it runs but thanks for replying .

I would have thought they would be ok in deep planters, something like this?
