hi looking for a plant to climb new balcony its metal and in a shady spot (sun not dodgy :0 ) want it to climb up to balcony and along must not be to envasive like an ivy as its attached to barn conversion and dont want it forcing through the slate walls its going to be used as a holiday let so flowers are a must was thinking of maybe rose or clementis but would love some suggestions please

Clematis montana? The one I bought is nearly covering a large fence and I only planted it this time last year. Also hardy I believe, mine is growing in part-shade. My mum has one and I believe the spot is almost completely shaded.
