Too late to cut back cornus Alba aurea?

  Any idea when I should start seeing growth after cutting back? Since I cut back and planted it (22nd March) it's just sat there.
  
  
  
  One of the 4 cuttings I took has leaves on and is now in the cold frame.

  Little shoots at last!!!  I need to have more faith :-).  You were right Verdun.

  Now what to do with the other one I bought just in case....
