Pieris Japonica Pruning

I think this is a Pieris Japonica but it has been allowed to grow very wonky and is too wonky to be held back against the fence with garden string.
Can I cut this back to start again? If so, how do I go about this?....

Thanks Verdun, I shall follow your advice and enjoy the flowers before I do anything drastic!
