Identify weed

 Can somebody identify this weed please it is trying to take over my lawn. How do i get rid of it .

    I want to say Yarrow but I could be wearing the wrong glasses. If it is yarrow then it seems to attract ants to the lawn though whether that is because the ants like the plants or because they collect the seeds I do not know. I pull it out of the lawn but if you have an all covering infestation of the stuff, then doubtless someone who uses weedkiller will be along to advise.

    Looks like yarrow to me too. White flowers like achillea if you forget to mow it too often.

    Yes yarrow. My front lawn is full of it in the summer but at least it stays green when the grass goes brown in the drought. It's not very susceptible to lawn weed killers. I just keep mowing on medium height and take biggest plants out at the root with a sturdy penknife.

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    googled yarrow and it looks exactly like the weed in the garden Thank you all .
