Green Manure

I have strimmed and turned over areas of autumn sown green manure. The ground is fairly heavy, so each forkful is sitting as a slightly raised clod, probably with some air pockets below.
Should I leave it all to settle, or trample across the area to level the surface? I won't be sowing seeds for a few weeks.
