Problem with gravel in greenhouse
Hi all, I've just had my first winter with a greenhouse. I've just seen something on the gravel edges. It looks like white salty fuzzy "stuff". Sorry for the description but that just about sums up what I can see. It's also underneath my workbench. I've been opening it up to ventilate on milder days . Any ideas what it can be??

It's probably nothing Karen. Water it with a weak solution of Jeyes fluid. If you're not growing anything in it the Jeyes should sort it out.
I'm wondering if it's anything to do with condensation dripping from the windows. Seems to be underneath them on both sides of the GH. Fingers crossed!
Is it a greenhouse with a brick base or dwarf wall? You often get salts out of new brickwork that is exposed to winter weather. The dripping condensation dissolves it, and then is crystallises out as white fluff. Under a microscope you can see the crystals.
