dry soil due to neighbour's conifers

  • thank you both I planted Gauras in a different spot in the garden last year very beautiful they did not survive the winter though image i am going to try again though as i enjoyed them for so many months . Buddleia is going in for sure one of my favourites love watching the butterflies smother it in late summer

    Rather sweeping and inaccurate statement methinks.  There can be many perfectly valid reasons for planting a conifer hedge.  In the same way that I wouldn't plant a large tree near the house, but would plant one further down the garden, conifers have their place and value.
