Cut back crocosmia?

Hi all, Yet another question which I can't find the answer to on Google. I have some crocosmia which over winter didn't go yellow or die back as we had such a mild winter. However lots of it have all holes in the leaves and looks a bit sorry for itself. The leaves are still green. Is it worth cutting back to the ground to give it a fresh start? Thanks image

I think I would Craigh - it would normally die back, as you say,  and then produce it's new shoots from the debris. Just be careful not to catch the new growth  image

I would cut it back to let the new growth come up freshly as it would in a hard winter when the old leaves die.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
