Hi all- I am looking for a UK stockist of Forsythia giraldiana. Tried the 2 listed on RHS plantfinder with no luck. Any advice welcome!

Is it the same as Forsythia suspense?

Not so many people have F. giraldiana though. Forsythia x intermedia (and its long string of cultivars) is much more common.

Most people (including meimage ) haven't a clue which one they've got.

Dove is working on an ID for one of mine. Might be giraldianaimage

    But it might not.

I bought it from a roadside stall years ago, no label, pretty pale yellow flowers, not too crowded. I thought it might be  F. suspensa but Dove says it's not like hers.

    What do you think Jane?

The thing is my 'Suspensa' isn't a firm ID as it was planted by the owner before last of this garden.  And all I have left since the tree felling is the small one in a pot that I took as a cutting a couple of years ago, so ...

Nut, I think a trip to Cambridge might be in order http://www.botanic.cam.ac.uk/Botanic/TrailPlace.aspx?p=27&ix=174&pid=2&prcid=27&ppid=2693

We'd have to check with them before our trip that their F. Giraldiana is blooming image
