What hedging?

I have a 2 metre high boundary wall, 1m from the back of my garage which is 4m high.

I want to plant something which will screen between myself and neighbours, say up to 3+metres tall.

Can I plant anything which will grow in this gap?

    Pyracantha would be good, it will be evergreen with flowers and then berries for the birds. You can prune it hard if need to image

    thanks both for your comments.

    do you think there is enough light if it is effectively a tunnel which I am planting in?

    will these be easy to maintain as I'm not sure how I will get access from my side?
