Can anyone ID this shrub. According to my client it's a Honeysuckle, the cutting originally came from Powys Castle. It does have a good scent. I've been scouring the RHS website but failed to ID it thus far.

I can't see it very clearly either, but have a look at Lonicera tartarica and L. syringantha .

My laptop is funny about enlarging pics and I can't get a view of the flowers, they don't look typical honeysuckle. Have you looked at L. syringantha?

It's a shrub and its in flower now peeps. Leaves are wrong for syringatha it's closest to tatarica. I might just pop in to the castle it's only 20 mins from me and ask. Thanks dove &nutimage

Just been to Powis castle and even though they found the shrub it wasn't marked! So even they couldn't ID it 100%. So having looked again at L.tatarica I'm going for that one. Seems it was planted quite a few years ago at the castle and a proper record wasn't kept. Thanks again for your efforts peeps.
