Wildflower area
Aym, yes basically. However wildflowers aren't an easy option. It's usually recommended you prepare the area just as you would do for laying a lawn. I'd certainly turn the soil and remove the weeds then rake to a fine tilth. Then sow, tread in the seeds and then water. You can spray to get rid of the weeds but you still need a good surface to get the seeds to take. Wildflowers do like their sun to flower well so as much aun as possible. As you're in the SE you're unlikely to need fleece.

Daves's right, sowing seed into grass is a waste of seed. Wildflowers in grass isn't easy even if you start from nothing. What sort of wild flowers have you got? Some of the meadow mixes aren't for grass meadows.

Hi aym, 2 acres here but not all 'gardened'
No bacon here
Unusual plants? probably unusual in that there are lots of species rather than fancy cultivars and hybrids. I like natives as well, to keep the other residents happy

Very flat, yes, except for the piles of gravel and 'land-fill' mountains.
On the plus side, my garden has different levels from old diggings and dumpings.
