    Gaultheria's pretty good in most soils Vegemight, although maybe not so happy in alkaline.  I have it here and it does well in borders (neutral to acid clay) and in a raised bed which has a bit of garden soil and added compost. Don't let it get dried out though. 

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
