    They were dark red scabious, white echinops, watsonia, acanthus and a mystery grass seed. Your propagator will help you catch up.image

    I'd avoid the solanum, it's a thug and can easily throw up shoots 4m long, or even longer in a single season.

    I've pulled shoots from under root tiles before.

    Ivy Goldheart is pretty and not as horribly vigorous as ordinary ivy. I have it on the garage in shade.

    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Oh yes now I remember Gardenmaiden, don't think I have planted them yet, I will get them done today, I have loads to do, so I will pull my finger out and get them done today, thank you.

    Thank you for the info Hostafan, I will definitely keep that in mind when I get something.

    Thanks Busy-Lizzie, I wasn't to sure at first as it was ivy but as it will be with the Hydrangea I'm sure it will be ok, Anything is better than a breeze block wall.
