We have a blackbird with one white feather. It's the only way we know that it's been the same one for t last few years.

    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • I was quite distressed yesterday to find in our garden a wood pigeon that had been attacked by crows (me thinks). The poor bird's neck was completely bloody with open wounds and although it flew across the garden the bird then crash landed and we were able to catch it - box it up and take it to the animal charity centre - unfortunately they were unable to help the bird so put it out of it's misery. On a more positive note they were able to fully nurse an injured kestrel back to health and released it nearby.

Will try aym. We thought that it had something stuck to it at first. It feels like part of the family rather than a visitor now that we know that it's settled here. I suppose we have resident robins etc but you can't tell..

Some long tailed tits have built a nest in the community farm garden. It's in a clematis Bill Mckenzie growing over a pergola. Obviously I couldn't go too close but, from what I could see, it's an amazing piece of construction.
